培训的第一天，就听说了王彩琴教授的大名。今日得见，名不虚传。大家风范又不失幽默，下午的课大家听得兴趣盎然，全得益于王教授精彩的讲座。

王教授主讲的题目是《高中英语阅读教学的内涵与外延》。这的确是个很大的题目。王教授并没有上来就开始长篇大论的理论说教，而是开篇在讲她的经历，她那幽默的用词和感染力以及偶尔冒出来的河南方言令在座的我们捧腹大笑，笑声之余，其寓意还让我们回味无穷。

Reading is a complex "cognitive process" of decoding symbols in order to construct or derive meaning (reading comprehension). Reading is a means of language acquisition, communication, and of sharing information and ideas. Like all languages, it is a complex interaction between the text and the reader which is shaped by the reader’s prior knowledge, experiences, attitude, and language community which is culturally and socially situated. The reading process requires continuous practice, development, and refinement. In addition, reading requires creativity and critical analysis. Consumers of literature make ventures with each piece, innately deviating from literal words to create images that make sense to them in the unfamiliar places the texts describe.这是王彩琴教授在问What is reading？后给出的答案。王教授说此段话选自维基百科。在王教授问这个问题时，我的答案是：Reading is a process during which we can learn and improve ourselves.这也是我让孩子阅读的初衷。看到王教授给的答案后，我突然感到豁然开朗，原来阅读的内涵如此丰富。阅读需要不断地读并完善自我，阅读需要创造力和批判性分析和思考。这不正是我们现在核心素养所提倡和要求的吗？！我一直跟自己的学生讲一句话：得阅读者得天下。这不仅体现在卷面上，体现在分数上，更是体现在一个人的素养上。教师交给学生知识的同时，还要培养他的阅读素养和阅读品质，从而让学生达到“腹有诗书气自华”的气质。

教师的教不能只看分数，而是“立德树人”。让我们都爱上阅读吧。我今天以王彩琴教授的一幅对联来结尾。上联是：阅人阅己阅品格；下联是：读语读文读生活；横批是：以人化文，心智提升，以文化人。
